Head teacher awards for Week 8 Autumn Term presented on Friday 24th October 2008.
The staff of Gelli Primary have nominated their Head teacher award winners for this week.The children listed below have achieved special recognition from their teachers for outstanding contributions to school life through this week and were presented with their head teacher award stickers in assembly on Friday morning.Well done all - Llongyfarchiadau bawb.
Nursery – Mason Davies for making a fab volcano, Jake Davies for working well with his partner.
Reception – Cameron Dobbs for putting his coat on independently & Layla Rees for contributing to class discussions.
Year 1 – Shaun Walsh for working hard with Miss Owen on his letter sounds & Bobbie Llwewllyn for making great progress in her reading.
Year 2 – Dominic Jacka for working very hard on his maths addition and getting them all right & Shauna Davies for excellent progress in reading.
Year 3 – Sarah Bould for a big improvement in swimming and Callum Lewis for good letter writing this week
Year4 – Chloe Edwards for always being hardworking and finishing tasks on time & David Tozer for effort in all his work throughout the week
Year 5 – Connor Evans for excellent effort in maths, good quick oral responses & Georgia Hannis for an excellent attitude to her work which is always of a high standard.
Year 6 – Holly Jones for continuing to give of her best in everything she does & Ashton Kinsey for a quiet, yet hardworking attitude. He has a sense of humour and always enjoys playing sports. He is always level headed and nothing seems to fluster him.

Class 1 - Nursery - Miss Mathias wishes to nominate Keesha Lewis & Alfie Dunning for working as a team to make a shower curtain.
Class 2 – Nursery / Reception – Mrs. Davies wishes to nominate Sam Jones for always listening and being ready to learn and Holly Walker for being very polite.
Class 3 - Reception / Year 1 – Mrs. Fraser wishes to nominate Mia Squires for always giving of her best and Ellie Evans for settling into her new class really well.
Class 4 – Year 1 / Year 2 – Mrs. Dyer wishes to nominate Carla Jones for an excellent puppet design and Joel Davies for always kistening attentively in class.

Class 7 - Year 5 – Mrs. O’Gorman wishes to nominate Jack Lewis Davies for an excellent attitde, great, general geographical knowledge and Rosie Everett for being an excellent learner who puts 100% effort into everything.
Class 8 - Year 6 – Mr. Hughes wishes to nominate Lucy Symons for working well in all aspects of the curriculum. She is eager to learn and often asks intelligent questions and Jak Protheroe for always working well with others and being a good role model.

Class 8 - Year 6 – Mr. Hughes wishes to nominate Jack Jones who works hard in all subjects and is always pleasant and polite and is a great role model for everybody in our school and Shauna Edwards for tackling each task efficiently and without much fuss, for being helpful to others and asking sensible questions.

Class 8 - Year 6 – Mr. Hughes wishes to nominate Dylan Evans for always helping in class and around school, working well on his own and with others and Rebecca Lewis for successfully passing her Grade 1 Violin exam with distinction and producing quality work in all aspects of the curriculum.
