Head teacher awards for Week 8 Autumn Term presented on Friday 24th October 2008.

The staff of Gelli Primary have nominated their Head teacher award winners for this week.The children listed below have achieved special recognition from their teachers for outstanding contributions to school life through this week and were presented with their head teacher award stickers in assembly on Friday morning.Well done all - Llongyfarchiadau bawb.

Nursery – Mason Davies for making a fab volcano, Jake Davies for working well with his partner.
Reception – Cameron Dobbs for putting his coat on independently & Layla Rees for contributing to class discussions.
Year 1 – Shaun Walsh for working hard with Miss Owen on his letter sounds & Bobbie Llwewllyn for making great progress in her reading.
Year 2 – Dominic Jacka for working very hard on his maths addition and getting them all right & Shauna Davies for excellent progress in reading.
Year 3 – Sarah Bould for a big improvement in swimming and Callum Lewis for good letter writing this week
Year4 – Chloe Edwards for always being hardworking and finishing tasks on time & David Tozer for effort in all his work throughout the week
Year 5 – Connor Evans for excellent effort in maths, good quick oral responses & Georgia Hannis for an excellent attitude to her work which is always of a high standard.
Year 6 – Holly Jones for continuing to give of her best in everything she does & Ashton Kinsey for a quiet, yet hardworking attitude. He has a sense of humour and always enjoys playing sports. He is always level headed and nothing seems to fluster him.

Head teacher awards for Week 7 Autumn Term presented on Friday 17th October 2008.

The staff of Gelli Primary have nominated their Head teacher award winners for this week.
The children listed below have achieved special recognition from their teachers for outstanding contributions to school life through this week and were presented with their head teacher award stickers in assembly on Friday morning.

Class 1 - Nursery - Miss Mathias wishes to nominate Keesha Lewis & Alfie Dunning for working as a team to make a shower curtain.

Class 2 – Nursery / Reception – Mrs. Davies wishes to nominate Sam Jones for always listening and being ready to learn and Holly Walker for being very polite.

Class 3 - Reception / Year 1 – Mrs. Fraser wishes to nominate Mia Squires for always giving of her best and Ellie Evans for settling into her new class really well.

Class 4 – Year 1 / Year 2 – Mrs. Dyer wishes to nominate Carla Jones for an excellent puppet design and Joel Davies for always kistening attentively in class.

Class 5 - Year 3 – Mrs. Carly wishes to nominate Katie Richards for excellent progress in reading and Morgan Lewis for making a big effort in his home task.

Class 6 - Year 4 – Mrs. Johnson wishes to nominate Abigail Maggs for superb work in all her books and Jordan Gammon for putting so much effort into all his tasks.

Class 7 - Year 5 – Mrs. O’Gorman wishes to nominate Jack Lewis Davies for an excellent attitde, great, general geographical knowledge and Rosie Everett for being an excellent learner who puts 100% effort into everything.

Class 8 - Year 6 – Mr. Hughes wishes to nominate Lucy Symons for working well in all aspects of the curriculum. She is eager to learn and often asks intelligent questions and Jak Protheroe for always working well with others and being a good role model.

Class 1 - Nursery - Miss Mathias wishes to nominate Bethan Davies for being helpful in class and Bailee Kinsey for always looking after his friends.

Class 2 – Nursery / Reception – Mrs. Davies wishes to nominate Jayden Fisher for recognising his numbers to 10 and Josie Jones for being kind and gentle.

Class 3 - Reception / Year 1 – Mrs. Fraser wishes to nominate Poppy Davies for being kins and gentle to her new class mate and Shaun Walsh for making a huge improvement in his listning skills.

Class 4 – Year 1 / Year 2 – Mrs. Dyer wishes to nominate Evan Rickards for an excellent imaginative story and Layrun Sharpin for being an excellent pupil.

Class 5 - Year 3 – Mrs. Carly wishes to nominate Shannon Brooks for writing a great colour poem and Ryan Griffiths for being hard working.

Class 6 - Year 4 – Mrs. Johnson wishes to nominate Keris Sharpin for being a credit to Gelli Primary School and Kian Jones for showing more effort in his work this week.

Class 7 - Year 5 – Mrs. O’Gorman wishes to nominate Tommy-Lee Gough for being a well mannered pupil helping his classmates if ever they need help and Stephanie Exell for giving 100% effort in her maths work.

Class 8 - Year 6 – Mr. Hughes wishes to nominate Jack Pearson for giving 100% towards everything he does, working exceptionally hard in the classroom and always being polite and pleasant and Alana Sharpin for being a wondeful example to her peers working well on tasks and is conscientious in everything she does.
